Tennyson Firth
Music Education
​
Tennyson has learned piano since the age of 5. He is classically trained and has completed all of his Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) exams up to Senior Certificate and also the former Gold Medal Recital exam in Pianoforte. He has also completed his BA Honours degree in Applied Music at the Dundalk Institute of Technology.
Playing

Tennyson has been performing since the age of 7. He has participated in all types of performances from formal classical concerts, to party functions and all types of common ceremonies and important events including the 1916 Centenary commemorations.
​
Tennyson was awarded Malahide Young Musician of the Year in a piano competition in 2007.
​
He also made a TV appearance on RTE and on the radio when accompanying his Fingal Gospel Choir to which he is still the piano accompanist to date.
​
Although classically trained, Tennyson has an extensive repertoire in music ranging through all genres including, Rock, Pop, Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Traditional, and so forth.

Teaching

Tennyson has plenty of experience in teaching and welcomes all students from all ages, levels, and musical backgrounds and takes great pleasure in sharing his knowledge in all aspects of music and will cater each lesson to the student’s individual needs and desires whether this is for fun, or preparing for an exam (practical and theory) or recital.
