Music Bio

 

Lydia has graduated with a degree in Music Education from Trinity College Dublin, a programme focused on both teaching music and performance. She specialised in piano teaching and classical performance and has been teaching piano lessons to students of all ages for several years.

 

She has been awarded three Gold Medals with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and won their Higher Achiever competition three years in a row, performing solo at the LimeTree Theatre as a result.

 

Lydia regularly performs as a pianist at weddings, receptions, dinners, hotels, and other events, including Falls Hotel & Spa, Ennistymon.

 

She is currently the Head of Music at a private secondary school in Dublin, where she teaches music to students across all year groups. She also has extensive secondary and primary school teaching experience, having taught music in multiple schools as well as at various Summer and Easter music camps for children.

 

Lydia previously taught musical theatre in New York, where she music-directed several shows and taught music lessons.

 

Many of her students have completed exams with both the Royal Irish Academy of Music and ABRSM with excellent results. She is passionate about teaching music and encouraging her students, and enjoys sharing her passion for music with her students
