Music Bio

Louis began his musical education at the age of 3 at the Ceolscoil na Mí in his hometown of Navan, County Meath and at 7 years of age he started learning the piano.

Throughout the next 10 years, Louis would compete in competitions such as the Feis Ceoil, Navan Choral Festival, and Toccata House Competition, win gold and silver medals in his exams, and continue his education at Ceolscoil until he earned a place in the 2013 class at the TU Dublin Conservatoire (known at the time was the DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama).

Graduating in 2018 with a Bmus degree in piano performance he went on to begin his career as a teacher and accompanist. He has taught, and continues to teach, all levels from beginner into grade 8 and diploma level beyond that.

Alongside teaching, Louis works as an accompanist for students undertaking exams, fellow musicians entering competitions, and choral recitals and competitions.

Louis prides himself on a relaxed, friendly yet thorough teaching environment, and endeavours to share his passion for all aspects of music to his students and foster that same passion in them.
