Liz Stears
Music Education & Stage Experience

Liz has been involved in the arts scene from a young age. She attended the Billy Barry stage school, ITW, and Musical Theatre for Youth where she had the opportunity to perform on stages such as the Gaiety Theatre, National Concert Hall, Grand Opera House, and The Olympia Theatre.
During this time, Liz completed her piano exams in the Royal Irish Academy of Music and vocal studies in the Parnell School of Music. Liz completed her B.A. in Music and Drama in U.C.D.

During her studies at Trinity College Dublin, Liz also completed Musical Theatre Voice training in the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Liz now also performs as a wedding singer providing church and reception music for happy couples on their big day.

Teaching
Liz trained as a fully qualified secondary school teacher in Trinity College Dublin.
After completing her degree, Liz went on to teach in secondary schools for a couple of years.

She taught in ‘Colaiste Dhulaigh Secondary School' in Dublin and 'The Colne community school and college' in Essex, UK which gave her vast experience teaching students with all different ability levels.
Liz also worked in the local performing arts school 'Power Drama School' as a resident vocal coach and musical director.
Later on, Liz switched to teaching music one to one full-time. She now specializes in piano and vocal lessons. She also has extensive experience preparing students for their Junior and Leaving Cert theory exams.
