Music Education

​

Kaelan has been studying piano since the age of 4. He is both classically trained and fluent in the jazz idiom.

 

He has just completed his BA in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance, achieving first place in his year and a first class honours overall.

Performing

​

Since moving to Dublin in 2020, Kaelan has played at dozens of venues throughout the city, including The National Concert hall, The National Gallery, The Sugar Club, Whelan’s and many others.

 

He has amassed many years of experience both as a solo performer and as a group performer. Kaelan has been a member of the Jazz-Fusion band “Lavery” since 2023, and has played multiple Dublin and UK venues with them. The group has achieved a meteoric rise and are set to play in both the Cork Jazz festival and the London Jazz festival later this year. They have also released an EP on Spotify in May 2024.

 

Teaching

Kaelan has been a piano instructor since 2022, teaching private lessons online as well as in person. He is experienced working with students of all ages and skill levels and is well versed in teaching multiple genres and styles of music including jazz, classical, pop, funk and R&B.
