ESTEBAN TAMASHIRO

Music Education

Esteban Tamashiro is a piano teacher and composer with over 10 years of teaching experience. Esteban started playing the piano at the age of six under the lessons of his grandfather. Years later, Esteban started taking piano lessons at the Yamaha Music Academy, where after finishing the Yamaha Music Education System he joined the Academy’s staff as a Piano Teacher at the age of 19.

After graduating from the National University of Cordoba with a Degree in Music Composition, Esteban received a full scholarship to study his Master’s Degree in Music Composition for Media at the Conservatori Superior de Musica del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain.

Composing

As a composer, Esteban has been working with different videogames companies around the world, writing music for PlayStation, Nintendo and PC. He has also worked in films, highlighting his nomination at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2021 in the category of Best Original Score for Shortfilm Live-action.

Teaching

Esteban has been teaching Piano and Music Composition to students of all ages and levels, working in various institutes, such as Provincial University of Córdoba, Yamaha Music Academy and Liceo Grl Paz. High School. Esteban believes that there is no single way to enter the world of music since each student has unique background and interests. For this reason, Esteban’s lessons are tailored to the student needs with the aim of enjoying music while acquiring new skills.
