Ruth is currently studying Music Education in Trinity College Dublin and the RIAM. She has just begun her third year, which involves a four month placement teaching music in St. Andrew’s College in Booterstown. She has achieved distinctions and honours in all of her grade exams, along with having completed all of her grades and holding a Senior Certificate in Musical Theatre and Popular Singing.
Ruth has been teaching piano for several years, helping students of mixed ages and abilities to develop and progress, whether they are pursuing grades, working on their school practical exams, or just playing for fun.
Something that is important to Ruth as a teacher is helping the students to explore the music they are personally interested in, so that their lessons are always enjoyable and engaging. She aims to include elements of their favourite styles in each lesson, while simultaneously ensuring the student remains focused, with clear and tangible goals in mind.
