Marius Antonica

Music education and performing
Marius started learning piano when he was 6 years old. He comes from a musical family and as such he was initially taught by his father who was also a church singer at the time.
He completed his Bachelor Degree in 2021 at “University of Arts George Enescu”, Iași, România. Marius spent one year of his studies at “Conservatorio Santa Cecilia”, Rome, Italy where he focused on developing pedagogical skills with Maura Pansini and Concert pianist Claudio Curti Gialdino.
Marius is currently working on his Dissertation as a Masters student of Piano Performance at TU Dublin Conservatory with the professor Sam Armstrong.
He has also participated at dozens of Masterclasses with professors all over Europe.
Teaching
Marius has several years of piano teaching experience with students of different levels and ages.
He also worked as a substitute professor and assistant teacher for young children in the National College of Arts “Octav Băncilă”, Iași being sponsored by his home University professor Ioan Diaconu.
Marius is a very dedicated and patient teacher with a warm and kind personality. He has been continuously developing his pedagogical skills while working with more than 30 students over the last couple of years and he truly enjoys teaching and passing on his valuable music knowledge.
Performing
As a pianist, Marius has performed in many concerts and music competitions around Romania.
As a soloist and also as part of various chamber music ensembles, he received numerous prizes and awards and has therefore established himself as a high level pianist on the Romanian classical scene.
