Louise Keegan
Music Education
Orginally from Roscommon, Louise was first introduced to her love of piano music at the age of 8 years old. She saved up all her holy communion money to purchase her first Yamaha keyboard and the rest as they say is history.
Throughout her childhood and adolescent years Louise explored other instruments e.g Guitar, Button Accordion, Low Whistle, Ukulele and Voice but the piano was always her first love.
Louise obtained a BA in Music and Geography from Maynooth University in 2011 and subsequently a MA in Music Therapy in 2013.
Teaching
Louise has over 12 years experience in teaching piano in both private and school settings, specialising in classical and contemporary piano and music theory.
Louise leads her piano lessons with a person-centred approach with the overall aim of providing a fun and joyful learning environment.
Performance
She was musical director of her local church choir and in later years a cancer survivor support choir called 'Something to Sing About'.
During her academic studies she performed in many musical productions both on stage and in the orchestra, along with being a member of Maynooth Universitys Choral Society performing pieces by Bach, Handel and Mozart.
