Music Education

 

Lorcan Cleary grew up in Dundalk, Ireland. A trained Classical Pianist, Lorcan started playing Piano at the age of seven and his love of music has developed and grown greatly since then.

 

His musical career advanced in 2020 when he graduated from TU Dublin Conservatoire with his Bachelor of Music (perf) Degree.

Lorcan is currently under the tutelage of Mr. Pádhraic ó Cuinneagáin and will complete his fellowship in piano performance with Trinity College London this year.

 

Teaching

Lorcan has 6 years of experience teaching students in his private studio. He has also enjoyed many years working in music schools in Castleknock, Sandyford, Dundalk, and Kinsealy.

 

Further to this, Lorcan worked as an ensemble coordinator and piano tutor in upstate Pennsylvania in 2019.

 

Lorcan's students have received top marks in piano exams with both the RIAM and ABRSM. He is an enthusiastic and engaging young professional.

Performing

 

Throughout his studies over the years, Lorcan developed a unique sound and repertoire that would differentiate him from other musicians in Ireland and developed particular interest in the music of Nikolai Medtner.

 

He had success at competitions at both Newpark and TUD.
