Lauren McClean

Music Education

Lauren started taking piano lessons at the age of 6 in her hometown of Monaghan. She developed her love for piano having been surrounded by music in her family's musical instrument shop all her childhood. She completed the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) grades for pianoforte in 2014 at sixteen years old and has been expanding her musical knowledge and repertoire ever since.

 

After receiving an A for her leaving cert music examination, Lauren decided to further study music and piano performance at Maynooth University and has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music & Anthropology.

Lauren started giving her first piano lessons while in secondary school after completing the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) grades for pianoforte, with honours and distinction. She has since acquired 5 years of experience teaching piano, including an academic year working in the Royal County School of Music (RCSM) in Trim, Co. Meath
