Music Education
Originally from Turkey, Cemal began his musical journey at the Balıkesir Kadriye Kemal Gurel Anatolian Fine Arts High School with Viola and Piano being his main instruments.
He then graduated from Adnan Menderes University where he completed Piano and a Music Teaching degree with Distinction, as the 2nd best Graduate of the whole University.
In addition, Cemal has participated in many masterclasses for both piano and conducting and has been continuously looking for opportunities to broaden his music expertise.
Teaching
Cemal has six years of previous teaching experience. He taught music theory, music history, and piano in numerous private schools. He supported his students both in their exam preparation and general piano education.
Cemal cares about the contemporary education model. He is student-oriented and believes in the importance of pedagogy.
He has experience in teaching students of different ages and levels and is well familiar with the RIAM and ABRSM syllabi.
Choir Work & Conducting
Besides teaching, conducting has been Cemal's great passion for many years.
In 2014, he founded Vocal Arya Polyphonic Choir, with which he won several awards at local and also international Choir Competitions.
As a conductor, he also participated in social responsibility projects, concerts, and various festivals.
Since moving to Dublin, he has already founded his own community choir in Dublin City Centre that he runs on a volunteer basis. He's looking forward to further contribute to the Irish choral culture.
