Carrie is a professional singer, actor, performer and teacher. She is also a song writer and has written, produced and recorded her own music.

Music Education

Carrie started in the DIT at the age of nine in both their Junior and Youth choirs, as well as studying drama and classical piano. In her time in the DIT, she was part of many concerts/competitions around Ireland as well as taking her exams in each discipline. At eleven years of age, Carrie was a child soloist for the chamber choir in the National Concert Hall.

After completing DIT studies, Carrie went on to study contemporary and jazz singing. 

Teaching

 

Carrie is a music educator in both voice and piano, working with children, teens and adults via private tuition, performing arts schools and the primary schools. Both preparing children for exams and performances.

 

In addition to this, Carrie also works with Music Generation providing music education to DEIS schools and community projects. Carrie has also done workshops within the DLR libraries and children festivals such as the Cruinniú Na Nóg.

Carrie has a unique and creative approach to teaching including methodology such as Kodaly and Orff.

 

Learning through play is a huge part of her method to learning. Carrie has worked with children from all walks of life and abilities and the impact of her work has seen any child she works with flourish and shine with a sense of real confidence.
