Born into a musical family, Anna started Piano tuition at the tender age of 5. She completed all her graded ABRSM Piano and Theory examinations whilst still at school. She holds the qualification of ABRSM Piano Diploma (Dip. ABRSM). Her love of choral singing has led to her holding the position of Choral Director at many schools. She is also a Clarinettist who enjoys making music collaboratively.
With many years of classroom teaching experience, Anna is able to draw from this knowledge when teaching the Piano. Although she has taught students from the ages of 5 to 65,
Anna particularly enjoys working with younger beginners, whose enthusiasm and eagerness she finds both infectious and inspirational. She has prepared students for various examining bodies: including ABRSM, Trinity College, London and The University of South Africa.
She firmly believes in having students work towards specific musical goals and helping them to develop strategies to achieve these is a top priority. Building up musical self-esteem is part of her teaching philosophy. Nurturing her
students musically and encouraging them a positive manner is imperative in each lesson.
Anna is married to a Musicologist currently engaged in Music Academia and they have 14 year old twin daughters.
